Event Venue
Investing in the Early Years: A Global Technical Financing Forum will take place at Kigali’s Sheraton Hotel (KN 3 Ave) in the downtown area of the city. The Forum will start on the morning of Wednesday, May 6, so participants are expected to arrive the day before. The third day, Friday, May 8, will have a full day program, so participants should plan to depart late that night or the following day.
Accommodations
ECDAN has secured a special rate for participants to stay at the Sheraton for the duration of the Forum, arriving on Tuesday, May 5 and departing on Saturday, May 9. Additional days before or after can also be included for the discounted rate. Travel to Rwanda
Travel to Rwanda is fairly easy from many locations. For more information about visiting Rwanda, see Visit Rwanda’s website and read the logistics note for the Forum.
Logistics noteTo enter Rwanda, visas are required for most nationalities. Rwanda has a service that enables visitors to apply for visas online prior to arrival or upon entry. ECDAN highly recommends that participants secure their visa in advance. Find more information about the Rwanda visa process here. During the registration process, participants will have the option to request an invitation letter that can be used to support their visa application. Please note that ECDAN will not provide any additional support to participants in obtaining their visa, and it is their responsibility, as is booking their airfare and accommodation.
Kigali International Airport (KGL) is the primary international airport serving Kigali, Rwanda. It is located approximately 10-12 km east of the city center. Taxis are readily available at the airport. Ride share apps are also available.
